Weekly Ekspres started in 2016, but the company Publisher, which publishes the weekly, was already founded six months earlier, in November 2015. The owner, Goran Veselinovic, is the best man of now President Aleksandar Vucic and because of that he is considered very powerful and influential. Veselinovic also owns a PR agency Right which had taken over the most of marketing businesses in Serbia since 2012 just when Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party came to power.

Orlic is a former journalist and politician. He began his journalistic career in the Sports Journal, then he worked on Studio B in the morning and informative program. After that, Orlic worked on the BK television in the foreign policy department and as the author of the political programe "Gravity".
He began his political career in 1997 as one of the founders of the Social Democracy. In 2001 he was elected to be president of that party. When the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro was formed, Orlic was appointed Director of the Information Directorate by the Council of Ministers. In September 2005, he resigned from his post and was replaced by Ivan Cvejić.
The media wrote that he was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia (SDPS), whose president Rasim Ljajić is the current minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications in the Government of Serbia, and that he was elected the head of the Central Election Staff of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia in September 2011, which was also written in his biography that was on the SDPS website. Orlic told the media earlier that he was never a functionary or a member of that party, but only because of his experience in the media, he helped the race Ljajić during the campaign.

Weekly magazine Ekspres has been coming out since April 2016, but the company Publisher, which owns it, was founded in November 2015.

Impressum on the Ekspres website is not up to date, but updated information was available in the Serbian Business registers Agency. Google image search results on Goran Veselinovic were very scant. There are only two photos that were published in daily Kurir newspaper - one taken during an annual celebration of the ruling party in Serbia, Serbian Progressive Party and second taken by unknown photographer.
