Originally founded in 1935 by a group of journalists, Nin has regularly been published since 1951. After being privatized in 2009, it was first bought by Ringier ltd and is, after its merger, now mainly owned by Ringier Axel Springer in Serbia.
Weekly Nin is published by Nin ltd, which is also owned by Ringier Axel Springer Media AG.

Milan Culibrk has been the Editor-in-Chief in weekly NIN since 2014. He came to NIN in July 2011 as an editor of the economy section. In October 2012 he became deputy Editor-in-Chief and in 2013 he became acting Editor-in-Chief. Milan Culibrk graduated from the Faculty of Economics. From 2007 to 2008 he was advisor to the Minister of Labour and the Social Policy of the Republic of Serbia, Rasim Ljajic and from 2008 to 2011, he worked as the Editor-in-Chief of Ekonom: east. For over a decade he worked as a columnist and a reporter for almost all the leading newspapers in Serbia.
